Thinline Telecaster

If you can past the headstock not being the Fender Telecaster true copy-written shape then you will find a very nice Telecaster Thinline, much nicer then the similarly priced Squire product, more inline with the Custom Vintage models currently on the market. The folks at Guitar Fetish in NYC (GFS Pickups) speced out this guitar then had it manufactured for their online sales, most likely in China, like everything else today. They did a great job with this guitar, love the body, love the neck (check out the vintage yellow on the maple neck), love the pickups, tuners are OK they work fine nothing spectacular, quite responsive and reliable. My only complaint with the stock guitar as it arrives out of the box was the electronics. The tiny volume and tone pot plus the pick up selector switch and the input jack. I found these  components to be a little on the flimsy side so I replaced them with nice solid Genuine Fender USA pick up selector switch, Volume and Tone pots. I replaced the input jack with a quality Switchcraft jack. I will include the original parts, they are pictured above in a baggy.This is now a very solid reliable guitar with more then it's fair share of Mojo, plays like a dream and has all the spank and twank you would expect from a Telecaster. FYI you can order this guitar directly from Guitar Fetish but if youb like me live outside of the US, in my case Canada it will cost you just under $300.00 door to door, the of course there are the Fender upgrades I have added which would run you an additional $50.00. Comes with soft gigbag and strap. This would make an excellent first guitar or pro on stage back up.
