Our Tom Sawyer grows fiber rather than painting fences.
Tom's luxurious natural Silvery Grey, soft, lovely, Huacaya Alpaca Fiber is from a well skirted fleece. I have washed it once, rinsed it twice. I then carefully and meticulously hand picked it to remove any vegetable bits and pieces, short ends and sunburned tips. I put it into a condition that I would be happy to sit and spin. Then to further enhance it I washed the fiber again to get out any more dust trapped in the fiber.
And now it is ready for you to have the fun of carding and spinning.
You will find, as I have, that the fiber spins into a wonderfully soft, warm yarn suitable for all members of your family. If you wish to blend it with other fibers, you can produce marvelous silk/alpaca, wool/alpaca, angora/alpaca or any other blend you wish to try.
The Greys overdye beautifully as well so you can produce a gorgeous range of new and exciting colors for your projects.
And look for more of Tom Sawyer's fiber in other forms that I can prepare for you.
