1959 Triumph Bonneville

Today Bobby Sullivan is listing his best '59 Bonneville from his large collection of Triumph motorcycles. This is a matching numbers bike. As you can see from the pictures it is as good as it gets. This T120 is featured in the preunit restoration book by Timothy Remus. As most of you know there are a lot of one year only parts on this first year Bonneville. We spent over a year collecting as many NOS parts as we could get our hands on. This Triumph is loaded with them. If you happen to have the restoration book you know how much time and money goes into this type of restoration. There are over 100 hours of hard work putting this gem back together. Please look at the carburator pictures and notice that they are new old stock - try finding those babies at a swapmeet. It has the correct big ball levers, an NOS magneto wiring harness, voltage regulator, amp meter, kill switch, light switch, Lucas brake lightswitch, Lucas headlight glass, Lucas taillight assembly and so on. The engine was torn down and rebuilt by Garry Chitwood he also painted this Bonneville with perfect color matched paint from Don Hutchinson. This T120 is over the top and most likely the best around. It truly belongs in a museum.

A '59 Bonneville can make a great,though challenging, restoration project. The tank, carbs and cylinder head are unique to this year. Most of the other parts are shared with the T110 which means they aren't exactly commonplace. Before buying a really rough '59 Bonneville consider the cost of finding and repairing all those missing or damaged parts. Save yourself a big headache and bid on this perfect Triumph....Good Luck !!!
