Sweet vintage jewelery box from Broadway, New York, veaturing THE VAUDEVILLE DUO, Eddy & Emmy and their dog painted to the front, which reads: Eddy & Emmy From Broadway, New York, "Don't worry about us! We are always in uniform and at our posts" THE VAUDEVILLE DUO. Inside covered in sweet pink tea rose fabric, four compartments to hold rings and so on. This is supposed to also be an either music box or it might have a recording of some sort in it, as I do hear a sound coming out of it when opened, but the sound is on its last legs, and cannot be made out. I believe the mechanism/sound box is hidden under the fabric of the compartment beside the ring compartment. There is however, nothing, no wind up, or music sound mechanisms visible. Someone has written in Japanese lettering in ink on exposed wood rim to front of unit (see photo 3). Hinges are great. There are nicks and scuffs and light scratches to the box surface.
