Cute Vintage Woven Fur c1970's to 1980's Steiff TEDDY BAG - Logo - Money Change Purse Handbag - ID button & yellow ear tag - size 12 cm (4 3/4 inches) 

This neat little novelty accessory is a TEDDY BAG which can be used as a coin purse or tiny handbag. PERFECT TO DISPLAY WITH A LARGER BEAR or doll!!  The bag is made from light brown woven fur plush with big brown plastic eyes and a light brown stitched nose.  It is shaped just like the Steiff teddy bear logo on their chest tags! The strap is a cotton woven cord, showing a little age discoloration and one red spot part way up. The drop (distance from top of bag to top of strap) is 15 inches. The top of his head is the top of the purse & fastens inside with velcro.  The purse is in good to very good clean vintage condition, with no holes, no stains, no soiling and no missing plush, just a little darkening of the strap cord. The bag is EAN #6360/12 dating it to between 1978 to 1983.   Sadly, he is missing his chest tag, but he has no chest!!!! and he has his brass incised ear button & yellow ear tag!!  His yellow tag is still partially legible but does show age wear.

The bag would be a great addition to your vintage Steiff collection or would make a wonderful gift for a collector.
