This 2005 Eyre Designs release, Wee Piggy, was inspired by the annual extended-family Pig Roast held in Long Island, NY.  Eyre Designs held its annual collector event at the same time.  In addition to a huge potluck and barbecued pig and turkey, the long slide was a highlight for attendees.  You grab a rectangular piece of gunnysack and climb to the top of the slide.  Sitting on the sack, you then travel very quickly to the bottom.  This piece has the star of the event, a pig, sitting on his mat, screaming with joy at the ride!  This version features a pig cast using a mixture of bronze powder, crushed marble, and resin and hand-polished to give it the proper metallic look.  The piece is hand-numbered and signed by Neil on the base.  Wee Piggy is approximately 2-1/2" tall, approximately 1-3/4" wide, and approximately 2" deep.  The piece is solid and weighs more than the standard marble resin versions due to the metallic powder.

This bronze version of Wee Piggy was released in October 2005.  It is number 1; the final edition size is unknown.  Several other versions of the piece were released in the standard crushed marble and resin.  Having carved for many years for Kevin Francis Face Pots, Neil makes his home in Long Island, NY, and creates his wonderful pieces in his studio there.

The piece is new with no chips or flaws and has never been displayed.  There is no box for this piece.  The photos are of the piece being offered.  Please email me if you would like additional information or photos.
