TRUVATIV Bike Components & Parts

Truvativ Bicycle Components and Parts

Whether you use a bicycle for transportation or as a form of recreation, having the right parts and components plays an integral part in your ability to ride comfortably and efficiently. Truvativ makes all sorts of bike components, including bars, seat posts, cranksets, bottom brackets, and accessories. The parts are modeled to suit different types of riding, such as cross-country, trail, endurance, gravity, and road.

What types of bar models are available?

Aluminum and carbon are typically the materials used to make riser bars and flat bars of different styles. Bars are made to be thicker and heavier for stability and durability or lighter and thinner for mobility and speed. The intended type of riding dictates the particular tone of the handlebars. Riser bars are more standard, while flat bars allow for a more active position on the bike.

What types of seat posts and stems are available?

Seat posts require a mix of durability and lightness to accommodate difficult terrain and speeds simultaneously. Different seat posts allow for a range of adjustments to cater to an individual rider’s preference for seat angle and position. Thickness, materials, and dimensions vary within a particular style.

Stems also come in all different thicknesses and lengths so that you can position handlebars differently. Some Truvativ models have adjustability in terms of handlebar diameter, and others are designed for speed and use lighter materials.

What are some styles of cranksets and bottom brackets?

Cranksets are comprised of multiple sprockets and allow cranks to turn freely. Some cranks enable riding without shifting gears at all, while others require frequent shifting, depending upon the particular terrain. Most cranksets can be adapted for mountain or cross-country riding.

Bottom brackets attach cranksets to the bike through a spindle mechanism and allow the crank to rotate freely. Most Truvativ bottom brackets are designed to seal out the elements, like rain, snow, and mud, so that the bike's cranks can continue turning smoothly.

What types of pedals and accessories are available?

Pedals come in a few different styles intended for use during gravity riding, and they provide spots for special bike shoes to clip in. This type of pedal allows for more stability and consistency than foot cages. Accessories include chain guards, chain guides, chain rings, spiders, and hardware.
