It definately wakes you up
2 of 2 found this helpful If the coffee don't wake you the noise will, but I had read about that so I was expecting it however, it is definately shocking at first. But I didn't have too many options in wanting a decent single cup or small coffee maker that didn't use pods or cups or would scorch the coffee on a warmer after 20 minutes. Just give me my Tim Horton's and don't make it taste like bitter drain cleaner. That's not too much to ask... well I don't think it is. I'd like to have a Bunn which is what Tim's uses and who makes the Tim Horton's home brewer but they don't make one for my needs, maybe someday they will, Please. A little goes a long way for coffee with me. So all in all I am pleased minus the 'screaming' noise, that's what I call it. And I wish it had a larger cup size so I could do a Canadian extra large or American large double double sometimes, but I can always do another one if needed. Coffee is good -I even used the pods that came with it although past the expiry date and I didn't use it to clean my drains. I'll give it the Tim's test tomorrow, it seemed a big task for a first days work. It does look rather nice in my black and stainless kitchen and is easy to use and clean and fill with water. I'm going to try putting a mouse pad under it for the noise as I had read in other reviews. For now I'm happy but it's not like I can't sell it on Ebay in a year or two should I find something I like better.

It's Johnny Depp as a pirate, What's not to love? The first was better but they always are, nevertheless I still have to own it. I'm sure you don't need me to convince you to buy it, but if you do just read the first sentence again, nuff said.
