Someone stop this crazy thing! Not for dancers.
This "dance" game(for which I bought a separate dance pad from the Wii fitness balance board) splatters the screen with neon flashy bursts of speed faster than hell. Just choosing a game, trying to follow a step or listen to chipmunks-on-old AKII drum machine-remake music is like trying to write the Constution on meth and acid. I don't know, maybe you can make it slow down enough to make the choice of program and song (very limited songs despite the box claiming tons of "smash hits" none are original and I only hope songwriters getting royalties). There is no place in the game/system to just freestyle dance and the games are without instruction, so whatever it chose for you it ends in about 30 confusing seconds. That is no workout. This isn't dancing. I suppose you either have to telepathically connect with the game to know what it wants you to do and when. The extra sound effects and crowd booing are creepy and who wants to be booed while trying to work out?! I have been student and taught dance (tap, ballet, etc) my entire life and was looking forward to this game. For a dancer this is a total waste. I can dance to my iPod, watch Gene Kelly and tap out the number on my own. I do not recommend trying this game, unless you are some kind of computer game freak and know how to fix the problems, and likes to step around to chipmunk music. If you want it to truly dance, my default work out is to put on music loud and get funky! If you like to torture yourself audiovisually and using your hands and feet, this might be right down your dark alley. good night and good luck!
