other than DELL's bios temp control flaws, awesome machine & quality, my..!
I got this laptop from my dad, and I was tweaking it for him. I got to like this laptop really a lot. It has a i5 cpu running still faster than second generation i3 series; boots around 35 seconds without bloatwares; if you do use antivirus + antispyware (I recommend PC doctor), it cannot be not trojan-free. it has big solid hinges, which is what I liked from my 12 incher latitude; back is silver for me, and I've seen black ones; both are very stylish, although most people purchasing do not care about the stylish aspects. only 1 single screw is needed to open the back panel, and you get to see the naked system with CPU, heatsink, wifi card, memory. two additional screws takes you to get to see the HDD; few more screws can let you remove the LCD panel. Onsite service (default 3-year) is much better than consumer dell, best-buy 1-years on most laptops, and thinkpad depot warranties. I've used ThinkPad depot before and it's a pain in the butt. Performance: If you have Nvidia graphics, you do not get Optimus, I believe; but I only have an integrated graphics. performance is more than solid for common applications, and it handles some non-demanding games if the computer has some large size of memory. overheating: I recommend you to get a program called stress prime, or sp2004 if you wish. do not send this machine to SLEEP often, just because it's not really machine's fault, but not until CPU gets to 80degress celsius, it won't turn the fan on whenever your HDD gets unhappy temperature (extremely important when you don't have SSD). run the programs for a bit, make it go hot, and then after fan turns on, shut the programs, and bios should keep spinning until basically the palmrest is much cooler.

T3200 (2GHz, 667MHz, 1MB) Detail Review
First of all, I chose this item.. Because it was at a really low price. Second of all, As a 2GHz Merom, T3200 has a reputation of being cheap, but effective. It's predecessors, Or the T2060/T2080/T2130 family from 945 platform, Lacks 64-Bit support! And that's the sadness of Yonah. Plus it's painful to be forced into Core 1 Duos (or just Core Duos) while the only Core 2 choices are high priced T7200/T7400/T7600, or low lined T5200-T5600. This is the first T3200 I've ever had, because my family usually has Centrinos, just so that manufacturers don't put items like a Broadcom/Atheros wireless or some random chipset for motherboard.... Testing environment is a Gateway T-6836... HOT SYSTEM...BAD SIGN...T7500/2G/250G/DVDRW/GM965. Screen is broken. When tested the laptop was without screen.. Invertors and others are all messed up at this point (waiting for extra parts). Exterior monitor saved my life. Tested software is Inter Processor Diagnostic Tool, later referred as IPDT (requiring .NET Framework + JAVA + VC redistributable). It was IDed by Intel CPU tool and CPUID, as well as tested by IPDT. The CPU was working fully functional. Performance wise, I'm not a big fan of the Vista/Win7 performance check.... I'll tell you it gets probably just around 5, because I don't care enough to run a number for you all. It's not a huge terrible thing for T3200 to lose 1MB L2 from T5750, but Hey, it still has same frequency. Core 2 Duos relies more on frequency than L2. And of course, more L2 = more performance. T3200 provides just more than enough power to support daily computering. When you want to aim for a gaming CPU... Well. If you can handle Core 2 Duo with Merom 1.8GHz- 2.2GHz, It probably will work alright. But if you already looked into High power Penryns.. or Sandy Bridge i3/i5/i7, then bypass. I have a P7370, and it's already 300 points over T3200 in passmark. But.. really I saw the only difference was the TDP.. T3200 is a regular 35W. P7370 is 25W. Alright. That connects nicely into.. the heating/voltage, that sort of issue. T3200 is very RMClock-Friendly. Its lowest voltages can be 1.075V around all multipliers. If you get to the minimum for max multiplier.. though, it'd crash. But overall it's really easy-managable. With the full-featured EIST, its lowest speed is at 1.0GHz, which is fairly well. Heating wise, It stayed relatively cool. My testing platform used to have T7500, and it has a scary IDA voltage of 1.4+ Volts, which scared me badly. My P7370 penryn is locked at only 0.85V max! But with RMClock, the T3200 doesn't overheat as badly. Thanks to the trimming of IDA, which.. some of you won't like. (jumping frequency up for one core, theoratically slow down the other core to match TDP) And its temperature stays around 40C as I would speak, because the software didn't seem to probe a right number.. it's not some 20s for sure. Disappointing Gateway cooling sys. Overall, T3200 is a budget-friendly processor that is squeezed between 1.8GHz level Merom and 2-2.2GHz Merom-2m, while lowering its L2 to downgrade into Pentium Dual Core for budget PCs, providing efficiency that is very compare-able to mainstream core 2 duos. Its Brother, T4200, is highly recommended too. But for 965 chipset folks: make sure your motherboard recognizes it... or upgrade BIOS... or else, it can cause you wrong money. T4200 will speed better and save more power, but at least let your motherboard fit them. Okay? That's all for the review.

Ti-84 Plus Silver Calculator review
I was in High School studying top-of-the-line calculus for college credits. I had a Ti-89 Titanium, borrowed from school. However when I'm prepping for college, I realized that my college doesn't want the smartness of Ti-89, but instead they prefer Ti-84 for the non-calculus calculation abilities so that we students have to calculate it ourselves. It is a great calculator in terms of speed and workability comparing to a $8 Ti-85 I've bought. It graphs quickly and displays items that are highly useful. Also I've used it in my college-level statistics class for statistics calculation. Would be great for Algebra 2 / PreCalculus / College Calculus students but watch the divisions inside Ti-84.... it has regular/plus and plus silver. Please choose Plus silver since it's no more than few bucks but buying some efficient brain inside the calculator!
