Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 64GB

Purchased this unit for my wife. I personally like Asus products. I am not a zombie like some that feel that must go with certain brands based on name association. Asus makes great and reputable products just as well as any other. This particular unit does not skimp on internal and the ability to expand internal memory. Many manufacturers omit expandable memory for bigger profits by only offering "16 or 32" GB internal memory which isn't very much. Offering expandable memory allow for more storage which is an excellent option.

Not perfect, but good buy

The good - this is a quality tablet. the construction is 1st rate. the a/c adaptercharger cord has a strong plug, not one of those little 2.5 mm things and serves as the usb connector as well. The bad - well, not too bad. the choice of apps is not good. the ugly - it is a google android o.s. that would have been good to know. I hated the first one I owned. hate this one too. I worked around it before, I can again.

Decent - obvious wear and tear

This arrived today, and as excited as I was, that quickly diminished. There were scratches on the back, some pretty deep and very obvious. The power button was slightly jutted out and you could tell it wasn't supposed to be that way. Half of it is flush with the tablet, the other half is slightly popped out. And something is wrong with the either the charging cord or the charging port as it doesn't charge. Very frustrating. The screen seems fine and its a little slow, and took a really long time to locate our wifi. And still never found it - I just clicked a random one that said "undercovervan" and put in my password and somehow that worked. Have no idea how and haven't come close to figuring it out as I haven't recently changed our wifi name. As something refurbished by a third party, I suppose its as expected... but I was just hoping it was in better condition. It was packaged in a box with just a plastic piece holding the tablet to the box.. not bubble wrap or anything. Hoping its just the cord that isn't working, but we are taking it to best buy this weekend to find out.

Much better than my old Asus Transformer Prime

I had read that the Asus Transformer Infinity got better wifi reception than the Transformer Prime. I can certainly say this is the case. I have only been using one of the two Transformer Infinities that I bought so far but it's amazing compared to the Prime. My Prime is 64 GB compared to the 32 GB of these Inifinities but that can easily be accomodated by just using larger micro sd cards. Overall, great purchase. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
