    Exactly what I needed.

    I don't need a tablet, really. I've got a MacBook Air and an iPhone and a Kindle and between the three of those, I have all the mobile computing power I need. But I also work in academic research and I'm a comics fan, and when it comes to journal article PDFs and digital comics, none of those devices has a screen the right size for reading. So I didn't need to spend hundreds of dollars I didn't have on a fancy new iPad; I just needed a 9-inch screen to read on. That's it. That's all. This one was $80 or something and I realized that after complaining for two years about my reading situation, that was a legit price to pay to shut myself up. I'm reading comics on this now, I've got all the articles for my current project organized and highlighted. I can't get the best apps because it's still on iOS5.1, and the battery lasts however long it lasts, but I paid for what I needed and I got what I paid for, so there.

    Grand baby tested and Grandma happy!!!

    My granddaughter loves my iPads,but with her being 3 years old , I thought by getting her this first generation,I could limit a few problems. I took her favorite DVDs and converted them to the right format and loaded them. No problem ,then I loaded apps just for her,yep for all you people out there you can find great apps and tv programs that can be downloaded. One more thing We got a lot of memory for little cash. I don't worry if anything happens because it is cheaper than other kid tablets and its Apple and with no upgrades no problem with iOS updates ,etc. Wifi stays turned off and she knows what icons she shouldn't touch. One other note. It has no camera and that is great ,she doesn't need it. I created an email account for her and We send pictures to her and video that she can access ,but are protected by us. Win - win. They have great product ,this is Meme approved!!!

    Tablet for Christmas Present

    Thank you for the tablet. I was extremely happy that I received it before Christmas. I ordered it I think late,late at night on the 21st. I received the tablet on the 24th before Christmas day. The tablet is for my special needs daughter. She seame to be happy with it. I have a small problem with charging it. When I plugged the charger in to it a message popped up saying that the charger was not compatible with the tablet. I Shut it off and it seamed to charge them. I ordered a new charger to see what happens. Other than that little issue I'm extremely happy. Thank you Now I have to put games, music, & movies on it.

    I love it!

    I bought this 1st Gen iPAD to replace one I lost 3 years ago. In the interim we bought an iPAD Air, which I find has too many touch-sensitive features on-screen, so that I was always invoking commands that I didn't want. The 1st Gen also has the larger screen size and the 'heft' that I missed in the Air; and I actually love the old-style graphics on the Notepad, Calendar and Music player. The only drawback with the 1st Gen is that its Operating system is too old to handle many of today's high-powered apps.

    Condition is not up to my standards

    When I think of "Grade A" condition, I think completely void of flaws. This is not the case, but it was in a very good condition but there were some scratches on the screen and a small dent in the upper right corner. More of a "B" than and "A" . But every thing else is good. Works like a charm. Came with all cables need for charging.

    I can still use current apps

    I love the ipad 1 gen because, to me, they are more durable. I love the size of the display screen. Plus I still have acces to current apps through the cloud. I save apps in the cloud on a different device and sign in cloud with ipad and I have access to current apps

    Oldie but a Goody.

    First Gen iPad, Had about a month. No problems, good battery life. It's not as fast as the iPad mini 4 we have, but close. Love the large screen size and colors are spot on. The price was a big factor also. Downside, no camera, not as many apps available. Recommend: YES
