The Continental CrossContact LX20 all-season tire was created to improve performance in highway and light off-road conditions for crossovers, sport utility vehicles, and light-duty pickup trucks. It also offers superb wet braking and traction, even in moderate snowfall. The EcoPlus technology included in the tread design increases traction and treadwear. Continuous ribs used in Smooth Response Technology provide smooth rolling surfaces for increased comfort and less noise while strengthening the shoulders for better handling response. Utilizing Continental's Tg-F polymers and +Silane additives, the CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology uses an all-season tread composition to increase treadwear, fuel efficiency, and grip on slick surfaces.

The nondirectional all-season tread on the Continental CrossContact LX20 provides great performance and facilitates simple tire rotation. The Continental Traction Groove Technology improves snow-to-snow winter traction. These tires are specifically made for off-road and on-road use, with a focus on rough terrain. To increase the model's strength and longevity, the internal construction has twin steel belts that are strengthened with spirally wrapped polyamide and polyester cord casing.
