A golf swing trainer is a training aid that helps you improve your game. The better you are able to swing a club with confidence, the more improvement you will see in your golf score. Golf training aids are designed for use during practice time.
What is golf all about?
- Golf is a game based on playing a pre-determined number of holes played in a specific order. Most rounds of golf are 9 or 18 holes. Each hole on the golf course is played one time by each player in a particular group.
- Play on a course begins when a ball is placed on a tee. The player takes a swing with a club and strikes the ball. The swing is one of the most important aspects of the game. Initial strikes are usually shot with a driver. A driver is a long-shafted, large-headed wood club. A swing trainer is most like this club. If a hole has a short distance to the tee, a high-numbered iron or wood club may be used instead.
- The goal for each round of play is to get the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible. Score is kept by adding the number of strikes it takes for a golf ball to enter the hole for each player. The person with the lowest score is declared the winner.
What is the proper way to hold a golf club?
- The proper way to hold an iron is in the palm of your dominant hand. A neutral grip allows you to close your hand around the golf club with your left thumb just right of centre. Next, take your right hand and overlap the left. Your two right middle fingers and forefingers should grip your left hand. The thumb on your right hand should sit just left of the centre of your palm.
- A swing trainer allows you to perfect your stance and striking abilities. Golf training aids are only permitted for use during practice.
How do you swing a golf club iron?
Each person develops his/her own golf swing. It takes practice and patience to develop a golf swing that works for your game. Many golfers use training aids to perfect their swing before hitting the green. There isn't a science to achieving the proper golf swing. Instead, it's a combination of practice, grip, extension, posture, and body shape.
Practice - Go to a local range and hit a bucket of balls. Take turns hitting with different clubs. Practice is also the right time to experiment with grip and adjusting how you hit the ball.
Extension - To achieve the proper golf swing, you'll need to attain full extension. A proper golf swing allows the club face to come above your head and finishes with the golf club near your shoulder.
Posture - A golfer needs to maintain his/her posture through every shot. Your back must remain straight with the slightest tilt to the shoulders. Your back will bend slightly forward to allow you to make contact with the ball. Proper striking stance allows you to swing in a relatively upright position.
