    Excellent phone for the cost

A bit of background. The wife and I have been using the Pixel 3xl and 3axl. The wife's 3xl was giving her problems and was not keeping a charge, it would also drop Wi-fi at the flick of a butterfly wing. In this day and age to where you have to get a personal loan just to get a tank of gas.. purchasing refurbished phones made sense. The phones arrived in a timely manner and were well protected with shipping packaging. After getting them activated , we noticed the battery life was night and day when compared to the Pixel 3's. Using the facial recognition took a bit of getting use to since we have been very dependent on the fingerprint scanner in the old pixel 3's. The Battery life was not the only thing that had dramatic improvement, the wi-fi connectivity was equally as amazing. The bottom line... If you don't absolutely need the latest and the greatest, these refurbished phones work exceedingly well for the price of two tanks of gas per phone.

A Superb Upgrade from my Pixel 2

Purchased the Pixel 4XL in March 2022, a bit more than 2 years after it was introduced. My Pixel 2 had been a pleasant surprise in 2019, so I stuck with a Google phone. The display - as promised - is larger and sharper without being too awkwardly big. Battery life is surprising - longer than my 2 and sometimes staying above 50% after 24 hours if I don't have the screen on constantly. The touch is AMAZING, even smoother than my 2. Finally, the face recognition unlocking is awesome after several years with fingerprint unlocking. It took me two days to get used to it, but now I don't know how I lived without it! Phone-to-phone transfer of my data was easy by cable. At current prices of $320 - $400 for new-in-box unlocked models, the Pixel 4XL is a GREAT value right now.

A great phone for what I need a phone to be!

It might not have the best specs or the biggest battery, but the overall experience, backed by great Google software, makes this the best Android phone I've had - certainly much better than the Galaxy S7 that I replaced. I was tired of the Samsung bloatware. The Google Assistant is fabulous and easy to use. The stock Android experience is highly configurable, the display and sound is incredible. With a dark theme and some care, the battery is easily enough to last me all day, but then I don't spend my life with my head in my phone. I want a solid phone that quickly does what I need the phone to do, and this meets my needs perfectly. I could not be happier. Oh, and the photos are awesome!

Pixel 4XL a welcome improvement over the 3XL

The Pixel 4XL is an welcome improvement over the 3XL I had to retire because the USB jack for charging became very intermittent. A common failure mode for these phones. They did away with the "back" button on the bottom left of the screen. Now all you need to do is finger wipe upward from the bottom of the screen to close an app or go back to home. The idle screen showing the time now goes dark to save battery life. And its a bit faster too.

    Pixel 4 XL 64gb

A great upgrade from the 3xl. The camera is better, it's hard to take a bad picture. IMO, if you use google photos you will not need more than 64gb. I purchased 2, used, as replacements/upgrades and got them for under $275 each. I highly recommend adding a good case, camera screen protector and front screen protector. Compared to the new pixel 5 and 4a the 4xl is as good or better with the only exception being 5g support.

The Best Android handset from a software standpoint that I've ever Owned

Features, price and the Google integration makes this one of the best handsets that I've ever owned. I'm not overly impressed by the aesthetics of a handset i'm much more concerned with the performance and the feature set and in those combined areas the Pixel 4XL excels over so many other cell phones. It's the OS and the software also handsets integration with the Google Services that by far surpasses any other Android handsets out there today.

Overall pleased with the purchase decision

I am appreciating having an actual Google mobile phone that's been designed to take full advantage of the current android OS. Having a phone that is aligned with my Google home based automation eco system was one of the driving reasons behind my making this purchase decisions. While I haven't tweaked this pixel 4xl for optimal battery usage I am still disappointed that the choice of battery capacity was not larger.

Really good phone for being used

Received the phone couple weeks ago. Battery life is average. But if you tweak the battery and app background settings, you can make it last for a while. The camera quality is amazing. In my opinion, it's better than iPhone camera. But that's just me. The size of the phone is a good size and feels sturdy and sleek. I'm very happy with my purchase for such a good price!!

Lightweight with great features (Next gen mobile with AI)

It's a great upgrade from Pixel 3 XL. The performance is great and doesn't feel heavy while using (unlike iPhone 11 or other heavy iPhones). Google some how able to fit the small battery and get a great battery performance. If you like to be an awesome assistant (unlike SIRI or Alexa) it's a great add-on. Google is using on-mobile AI to get most things done without asking.

Best Pixel Out There, If You Have A Charger

It's the best, most feature-packed phone Google's ever made. Even compared to the Pixel 5, it has more advanced tech on paper. The only downside is battery life. I've learned to live with it, have a wireless charger at my desk and just throw it in there when I'm not using it. But if you're looking to be charger-free for a whole day, this isn't for you
