- Close the high side of the manifold.
- Remove the high-pressure hose only if a low loss fitting is present. Removing a high-pressure hose when a low loss fitting is not present could lead to frostbite from the refrigeration component. Turning the high hose counterclockwise is the easiest way to loosen the gadget.
- Allow the high side hose to bleed.
- Open the manifold on the side of the high side hose so pressure can be transferred to the low side of the component.
- Close the high and low side of the manifold.
- Locate the blue hose on the device and turn it counterclockwise at the service port to separate it from the AC unit.
- Attach the low side hose to the low side manifold.
- Replace the service port.
