The Honda Nighthawk 250 is a standard motorcycle with a low seat that is designed to be light and easily maneuverable. It has an air-cooled parallel twin engine and is known for its economic fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance. Its gas tank holds 4 gallons with a 0.8 reserve to give you ample warning and an extra mile or so to find a fuel source before reaching empty.

The Nighthawk 250 Honda motorcycle gas tank features a "reserve." The reserve isnt a separate storage area for fuel; it is a designation given to the last portion of fuel in the gas tank. The petcock is a main and reserve fuel valve that changes which fuel tube feeds the engine. One tube is located toward the bottom of the tank, and the other is about an inch higher. In the usual "on" position, the fuel is fed through the top tube. In the "reserve" position, fuel is fed through the bottom tube. The petcock facilitates this system.
