We are pleased to be offering today this turn of the century previously refinished tiger sawn oak extra tall back rocking chair that dates from the 1890s to 1900s. It is in beautiful condition right out of a southern Maine home. The overall size is 24 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 40 inches high, 14 inches high to the seat. It appears to have a leather insert seat that could be vinyl, but it is in a great brown color. It is in a beautiful oak stain that highlights the press back design and the grains of wood used. Imagine all this being in very very good condition after 125 years. This Rocker appears to be made of Maple or Birch wood lathe turned to look like spools and bamboo which was the style in the late 1800s.

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful oak stick and ball carved Victorian age oversized oak rocker that dates from the 1890';s in beautiful condition. The seat has been recovered in an antique red velvet upholstery. The rocking chair itself is finish in the dark oak original stain that is in outstanding condition. it has big oak balls at the beginning of the heavy arms, oak balls on the top of the very back post and a stick and ball design with deep carving in relief and a set of splats down where the back goes. It has circle ball carving across the front skirt. The overall size is 24 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 24 inches deep, when sitting in the normal position it is 47 inches high to the back post, 27 inches high to the arm and 21 inches high to the seat as it has allot of upholstery on it. It is a great rocker.
