The only decent Android Phone that is 5 inches in length!
I should preface this review by saying that I enjoy Android and was trying to stay with the OS rather than simply buy a small iPhone. There has been an alarming trend of Android phones growing larger and larger every year. I knew when my Moto G LTE needed replacement, I would have an awful time finding an Android phone with the same small form factor. For whatever reason, I have found that phones longer than five inches in length don't sit well in all my pants pockets and feel uncomfortable. Searching all current Android phones sorted by length, I only found a few results five inches long: one was a budget phone with terrible specs, one was the Xperia X Compact with decent enough specs and a okay price, and a third was something very expensive. The major complaints against the X Compact were that it did not have a fingerprint scanner, its camera was good but not excellent, and it did not have a top-of-the-line CPU. I am a casual user and none of those complaints were dealbreakers for me and I've found the X Compact to be a great upgrade from my old Moto G.

Just small enough, crazy performance and incredible battery life.
Sony really had attention to detail on this phone in my opinion. The battery life without using stamina mode with wifi and bluetooth enabled would last me about 3 days on average with moderate use. With location services I noticed the battery drained significantly faster which is typical for most smart phones. The phone performs incredibly fast without skipping a beat, the camera is amazing and Im impressed at the UI's stability. I notice that sony does not have near as much bloatwear as samsung with it's stock OS. In fact I have no interest in using a custom ROM since the stock sony rom is so good. I have no complaints about this phone and I am really impressed on how good of shape the used phone was when I got it. It still looks almost new. I would recommend this phone to anyone who is sick of Samsung's excessive software features that bog down a phone's battery life and performance. Definitely a different experience than samsung (my previous 2 phones were samsung s4 mini and s5).

Great compact phone
Really pleased with this phone so far. The formfactor is really sleek and i simply love the small size but still comfortable to use. Display looks great and phone feels snappy but haven't played demanding games or lots of multitasking with it really. A little annoying the default apps and stuff that are loaded on at first but this is manageable. Battery life isn't amazing but for most people it's totally fine to last a full day or two with moderate usage if keeping to light apps. I think for being a phone that is nearly 4 years old now it holds up great and for the value and size it's hard to beat. Would definitely consider another one if this one fails me in the future for this price point.

An excellent phone
I moved to this phone from my Nexus 6p because I was tired of the Bluetooth issues. Previously, I used a Sony Z3 compact, so I knew what I was getting into with a 2013 sized phone. They're great. If you are looking for a small phone, this Sony is the way to go! Waterproof, 2 days of battery, and it charges very quickly (even for a Qualcomm QC3 phone!) Great phone.

Powerful little phone!
Love this phone. The size is fantastic in a time when so many are TOO big. The Sony Xperia X Compact does all we need. It's truly a powerful little phone. The only complaint is that it doesn't seem to have as strong an antenna as others. Fortunatel, it works where we need it. Good purchase, would do it again.

Small, compact, fast, enough storage and has extension slot, beautiful, light. I wish they design the power switch on top, or at least not in the middle of the edge. I like small phone. It fits in the clothe pocket. I like android phone. I don't like iPhones at all. Many people complain about iPhone software.

Good phone with a screen protector and a case inside the box
The phone looks good. Everything works. Inside the box there was a cheap silicon case and a screen protector which is a bit smaller than the screen itself. I though that the phone is a brand new. Could be refurbished. Anyway, battery holds, fingerprint button also works. Some Japanese software are non removable.

Wish the listing was clearer about its preconfig
It's a great phone for a great price, but I wish the listing had made it clearer that it was preconfigured for a Japanese carrier. If you're going to do international business you need to let the customers know what they're getting. I managed to get the phone into a usable state for an English speaker, but it was unexpected stress and work. The phone's native launcher even deliberately hid the Google Play app icon to make it hard to get past the default apps. For a little while I was afraid I had completely wasted my money. Maybe I should have known better, but it was my first time ordering a phone directly from China. That being said, with my preferred launcher and having disabled most of the Japanese apps, I am now quite happy with what I have for the price.

Great for everything except taking pictures
Love the size of the phone and all the apps. The only thing if you need a phone that has good picture quality don't get this phone. All your pictures will look like negatives. Make sure you get a screen protectors because after I set up everything the phone fell off my desk and cracked.
