Yeezy Crepe Khaki Shaggy Sneaker Stats

Yeezy Crepe Khaki Shaggy Sneaker

The Yeezy Crepe sneakers, released Jan. 1, 2017, are the only Kanye West-designed sneakers offered outside of the adidas and Yeezy collaboration in the last 10 years. True to the Yeezy brand, they feature a colorway that's right at home among similarly-toned shoes bearing names like sand, taupe, and beige. The sneakers come in both men's and women's models.

Yeezy Crepe Khaki sneaker design

Though these comfy lifestyle sneakers have a slide-on design, the Yeezy Crepes are not to be confused with the later khaki Yeezy slides. The Crepe is essentially the low-top version of the Crepe boots that West wore nonstop in 2016 and 2017. The shoes have a tonal khaki upper with a padded ankle and a chunky classic Crepe sole. A rounded toe and lace-up closure keep the silhouette smooth.

Yeezy Crepe Khaki construction

The Khaki-era Yeezy Crepes are called Shaggy sneakers because of their super thick suede uppers. The line as a whole gets the Crepe name from the type of rubber used for the soles. Coagulated latex cut from rolled sheets gives the sole of the Crepe Khakis their distinctive texture.

Yeezy Crepe Khaki colorway

The Khaki colorway has appeared multiple times across the Yeezy lines: on the Yeezy slides khaki, on the Yeezy Khaki Blade, and on the Yeezy 350 Khaki, just to name a few. But on no other sneaker is the color so uniform as it is on the upper of the Crepe Khaki, where tonal stitching and matching rope laces keep the look super clean. The only contrast on the Khaki is the semi-translucent sole, which uses a slightly different shade of tan.
