If a seller sends you a counteroffer, you'll find the offer in your Messages.
Responding to a counteroffer
You can accept, reject, or continue negotiating by making another offer to the seller. Here's how you can respond:
- Accept and commit to buy – Select Buy it in the counteroffer message
- Negotiate – Make another offer to the seller
- Reject – Select Reject offer in the counteroffer message
You can make a total of 5 offers on most items, or 10 in most vehicle categories.
Tip
If you accept a counteroffer, you’re committing to buy the item and you’ll need to complete payment like any other eBay purchase.
If you don’t respond to the seller’s counteroffer, it’ll expire after 48 hours, or when the listing ends—whichever comes first.
