You should only report a buyer if you think they're violating our policies. Here are a few examples of when to report a buyer:
- You believe they're abusing the eBay Money Back Guarantee or the returns system
- They've asked you to complete a sale off eBay
- They're abusing the bid retraction process, repeatedly bidding and then retracting bids
- They're breaking our rules about feedback extortion

If the buyer isn't violating any of our policies, but you're having an issue with them around a specific order, you shouldn't report them – but there are other ways to resolve your issue:
- The buyer hasn't paid –You can open an unpaid item case, and we'll help you cancel the transaction and get your listing fees back so you can re-list the item. Find out more by reading our article on unpaid items
- The buyer is trying to get a refund – If the buyer says they haven't received their item, or that they want to return it, you should work with them to resolve their issue. If you aren't able to sort things out with them, or you don't agree with their reason for the return, you can ask us to step in and help
- The buyer has left you inaccurate feedback – If you disagree with the feedback the buyer has left you, you can either respond to it or request a review. Find out more by reading our article on disputing feedback
How to report a buyer
You can report a buyer to us by selecting the button below, or from the Resolution Centre. You can also report the buyer from your Sold Items list, by finding the order, selecting More actions, and then choosing Report buyer.
