    Shedding light.

    This is one of two dedicated flashes for the Minolta XG-series camera bodies. The 180X hasn't the output, nor the fast recycle time the 200X has, and lacks the Wide diffuser filter which came with mine. The flash couples with the camera with its thyristor eye located in the front under the strobe in a small window, giving the adequate, or optimal lighting for both indoor, or fill-flash outdoors with backlit subjects. The manual is downloadable online at several sites, and offers a full explanation of its utility. Highly recommend this item with all the XG Minolta cameras.
