Good quality Wifi Antenna/Router for improved line-of-sight access while providing security.
I purchased this antenna/router to allow wifi access in a challenging environment where the target wifi was approximately 0.5 miles away with buildings and trees blocking a clear view. The antenna failed to receive the desired wifi access point even when mounted on pole six feet above the motor home. I did pickup a bunch of wifi signals from the neighborhood but they were all locked and unavailable. I tried both the omni-directional and directional antenna with no success. Without direct line-of-sight to the wifI source, the antenna does not appear to be able to improve the signal. have no doubt that the antenna will provide improved signals in RV parks where I am not a half mile from the source and obstructions are less restrictive. I like the fact that it provides a secure method ... Yes, It Works and Works Well!
I absolutely love this addition to our new travel trailer. Very weak Wi-Fi signals everywhere we went... until now! This device initially seemed daunting to setup, however, follow the directions and it's a snap! Worked like a miracle pulling in Wi-Fi from several known sources. Streaming to a smart TV while having phones connected, is no problem. It does what it says it does and most importantly is fairly priced. The build quality is excellent and I had no problems with connecting the the trailer. I used the screw-on suction cup device for an additional $20.
