Nice upgrade
I upgraded the front brake to this one with 4 pistons. It improves braking strength and modulation. The caliper works fine with my BR 8000 XT Brake handles. I did have to buy a different banjo bolt as the 4 piston brakes use a short bolt where the 2 piston use a longer bolt at the banjo. I wish that piece had been included with the caliper so I didn't have to make another purchase and wait for it to arrive. Otherwise it installed well and works very well.I upgraded the front brake to this one with 4 pistons. It improves braking strength and modulation. Great swap out from 2 piston to 4 piston
Replaced a Shimano M8000 rear caliper with this XT M8020.... I used the same M8000 caliper and brake line without any problem. These are essentially the same as the Saints... Somehow I got some grit/rocks/sand in my M8000 caliper and destroyed the pads and the ice tech rotor...bummer. I had noticed some fade and the famous 'all-or-none' feeling with the 2 piston so decided to move up. Shimano advertises 20% improvement in braking and modulation.... I agree. Great investment with a little weight penalty. *Please note! This item (no matter who you buy it from) does NOT come with the 'banjo bolt' to attach the brake line... you have to get this separate!
