Synopsis
(Music Sales America). When teenager and amateur photographer Marc Canter set out to document his best friend Saul Hudson's rise as a rock guitarist in 1982, he never imagined he was documenting the genesis of the next great rock 'n' roll band. Containing original gig memorabilia including show flyers, ticket stubs, set lists, press clippings, and handwritten lyrics as well as in-depth interviews with band members and the people closest to them, Reckless Road offers an explicit, first-person perspective readers won't find anywhere else. This book covers the first 50 gigs that Guns N Roses did. with 1000 plus unseen photos. Interviews with over 20 people including band members, roadies strippers, girlfriends, Tom Zutaut the A&R guy that signed the band, Mike Clink the guy who produced the record, Steve Thompson & Mike Barbiero the guys that mixed the record, and close friends of the band. This was a great look at early, very early Guns n Roses. Mostly pictures but some interesting insights to the making of the band.

  • Reckless Road: Guns n´ Roses and the making of Appetite

Always liked GnR a lot, so searched for this book as it tells since the band was formed until the making of Appetite for Destruction. Contains plenty of rare pictures and very first hand stories. Photos are great and text is very entertaining. Recommended to GnR fans.

  • GREAT ITEM!!

This item provides a HUGE amount of pictures from their early days before signing the contract with Geffen. Many pictures I had never seen before. Also, you get an insight on what the band played at the various clubs, and there are some quotes. Overall, this item is a GREAT item!!

  • Great book!!

I recently read Slash's book which really got me back into GNR. He mentioned this book in his. The pictures are awesome. The books if focused on the making of Appetite for Destruction.
