Great Starter
The Gen 7pro is a great starter vehicle. It has nice scale features and looks. That said, it is top heavy and will roll over if you are going too fast and turn sharply, or you are going sideways on incline. The good news is that there are lots of upgrade options available to make it better!

Really awesome 4x4 - 1/10 scale crawler
I just bought a Pro version, and after an hour plus driving it over small obstacles i had to retreat due to our cold winters here. I love the RedCat Everest Pro, I'm glad I found the color and great price I wanted. The 4x4 Everest looks solid and it's components really impressive compared to other's in the price range for sure. I have already bought Upgrade parts but wanted to drive it stock for a while, and the 3000mah - NiMh Battery 7.2V lasted well over an hour on first run around. I'll gladly let my detailed photo's promote this 1/10 Everest Pro 4x4 RC. Great Crawler, but go with the sport, hsp shocks, and extra battery and fast charger.
My kids were using the crawler quite abusively and it held up for several uses until it blew out one of the aluminum shocks. Only difference between SPORT and PRO model (functionally) are the shocks as I understand. I replaced the shocks with some progressive coil shocks HSP 100mm hole to hole shocks and it performs even better now! So if I could do it again, I'd buy the sport and throw on some HSP 100mm progressive coil shocks and save a few dollars. OR I'd buy a quick battery charger and extra battery along with the shocks would cost the same as the PRO, and you'd be way ahead modifying the sport.My kids were using the crawler quite abusively and it held up for several uses until it blew out one of the aluminum shocks. Good entry level crawler/ trail truck
So, this truck has a lot of positives and a couple of negatives. For your money, this is a great starter rig with a lot of nice features and hop ups are available. I'm going to keep mine stock, except for replacing the included NIMH battery with a 2s lipo. And, I'll be looking at filing some of the plastic down by the front wheels to increase the steering angle. Lastly, I'll replace the stock servo with a better one and the servo horn with a metal one.So, this truck has a lot of positives and a couple of negatives.
