A great deterant to being broken into.
You leave for a trip and leave a light or two on and say someone will think I am still home, NOT. The Nassau County Police department community officer recommended that every one should buy a FAKE TV. We ahve a second home with a Fake tv in the upstairs bedroom and even our next door neighbors think we are home most evenings! You set the amount of hours you want it to run after dusk and point it to a window and instantly you have a safer home. The "FakeTV" product is an inexpensive burglar deterent which simulates the flashing lights of a TV at night when you're away from home. The product was a great idea, however, it's a very cheaply made plastic product of poor quality and will completely stop working in a short amount of time. The manufacturer, Hydreon Corporation, advertises a 3 Year Warranty but will not honor the warranty. Purchasing "FakeTV" is throwing your money in the garbage which is right where your "FakeTV" will be very soon. This is a nice little unit.
This is a nice little tool for a house that isn't used much. Put it on a timer and you can get a few more options out of it. It is not super bright so the room has to be pretty dark. If you need brighter or bigger it won't work. But I would say it simulates a 27-42 inch tv.
