    The Philips/Norelco 5300 wet,dry lightweight versatile smooth shaver

    I have owned over 10 different Norelco models of this type of triple head rotary shaver in last 20 years. By far this model 5300 wet/dry electric shaver is well designed, very quiet and the smoothest Norelco shaver I have ever owned. You get quick, close, and comfortable shaving with this model. I recommend this shaver for those who hate to get those difficult hair pulls, knicks, irritated skin or other issues with your old shaver. If you have thick or heavy beards and to can't get at those hard to shave places- this shaver is for you. Try it and get it a a very modest price. It is a winner for me..

    No improvement over cheaper Norelco's and has a snap on trimmer

    You have to pull off the entire cutting blades to push on the trimmer. Why when every other manufacturer has it built in to the razor. You can't operate the shaver when plugged in when all my previous Norelco's could. The charging cord is the shortest cord I have ever seen. The first things to go are usually connectors or having to pull thing off and snapping things on. I do not see this lasting very long as you constantly have to connect and disconnect the cord to use this thing after charging as well as switching the cutting blades to snap on the trimmer. I will never use the trimmer as this will ruin the shaver with constant snapping on and off of the razor's entire head. I paid half price for this so I will keep it. It does not shave any closer than my previous cheapo ...

    Stick with it!

    Took about 2 weeks for my skin to adjust to shaving with an electric shaver. I used it wet during the intro period. Now I can use it wet or dry. I use it every day. Don't have to go through the ritual of traditional blade shaving. Quick and easy. Love it!

    For a really close shave!

    A lot closer shave than my old shaver which was also a Phillps. I had it for 14 years! But finally the rechargeable battery gave out.

    Great value and performance.

    I've used electric shavers over 50 years, and this one is outstanding. My shaves are superior to my other shavers. I actually have two other rechargeable shavers, and one has new shaving heads.
