  • An Unusually Good Haynes Manual

If you have a couple of Haynes manuals, you probably think you've seen them all. Most do seem to be cut from the same cloth, covering all cars in pretty much the same way. This one, however, is significantly different. It's quite complete, covering virtually all types of Weber carburetors, with first rate cross-sectional drawings and photo illustrations. The operation of each type of carburetor is described in detail, and the appendices covering initial setup for various kinds of cars and retrofits is extremely valuable. The initial chapters do a good job of discussing how carburetors work, and how to install Webers in particular. I have another more popular Weber manual on order. It will be interesting to see if it's really any better.
