The Linksys (WES610N-NP) 4-Port Dual-Band N Entertainment Bridge was just what I needed to make my Sony Bravia 46" flat screen TV as good as a Smart TV. I previously had hooked up a NETGEAR WNCE2001 bridge (purchased May 10, 2012) with great difficulty to my Sony Bravia TV, only to have the bridge fail after a couple of months use. I tried on numerous different occasions to reconnect to the internet even upgrading my router from a NETGEAR N600 Wireless Dual Band router, to a NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router. Nada! Miraculously, my Roku box was able to connect to the Internet and has worked well on the Bravia TV. My last attempt (was contacting NETGEAR Support (February 2016) to help me troubleshoot my connection problem. After a couple of hours on the phone with them, I was ...

  • It was a bargain price and works fine on 2Ghz band after manual setup.

This Linksys WES610N would not detect the 5Ghz band from my new Livewire modem, although it detected other 5Ghz bands nearby. The easy push-button setup would not work with the Livewire modem either. I believe these problems were the result of the out-of-date design of the WES610N, and there is nothing wrong with the unit I received. It works fine at 2Ghz, although not as fast as a dual-band connection would be.

  • Have wireless & need a remote switch... This is your product

Was Cautiously optimistic about purchasing this. I needed to move an Ethernet wired network printer to another location and didn't want to pull another cable. The price was good so I took a chance. So far it has done EXACTLY what I was hoping. I have 4 Ethernet ports at my wife's new desk location. The printer works on demand without problem & I didn't have to go crawling under the house pulling cable. Setup was relatively simple. someone with basic network skills could figure it out without an issue. Hope Cisco keeps these or similar devices on the market. The only limitation I could see would be the wireless speed being a bottleneck on LARGE files (most of my Cable is Gigabit). However, if all you are doing is Internet & print services (as I am) this shouldn't be a problem.

  • Awesome Item/Great Price!

I had, and still do, have the single port version if this magnificent Cisco/Linksys wireless bridge plugged into a small Dynex router for my Netflix Blu Ray and my DirectTV HD DVR (splitting the signal - flawlessly). This wireless bridge eliminates the need for yet another connection to another device - like a small router. The 4 port router is built into the Bridge. Though this item is worth every penny, plan to invest time with their tech support team overseas to properly configure this bridge. Once it's up & running, you'll be a very happy camper. The support is better than expected and I am very pleased!

  • Can't say..wasn't what I needed so it was returned. Sad CustSpt from LSys

This was a big mistake, mainly on the part of LinkSys tech and customer support. I had an extended telephone conversation with T/S about replacing my old access point with something more modern (androids would not authenticate) and this is what they told me to get after a very detailed explanation of how my network WiFi was setup. They were totally wrong. This is a wireless bridge not an access point. Two very different pieces of equipment, although there are some units, including older LinkSys models that are selectable as to which mode. Not this one. Insult to injury: LinkSys acknowledged their error but offered nothing more than "sorry" and "send it back", would not/could not ship to Puerto Rico, etc, etc, I got the right thing finally, no thanks to LinkSys. Very disappointing...many ...
