Very Funny
This is a cartoon that can be watched and laughed at by anyone. Rocky and Bullwinkle are great as our heroes and Boris and Natasha are the evil foils. Supporting characters Dudley Doright and the rest make a wonderful ensemble. Highly recommended!

Don't pass on this blast from the past!
I see review after review on these sets crying because the music is different. Yeah it's a bit of a letdown but SO WHAT!? The show is still awesome, in its pure form, and free from all the BS enhancing mumbo jumbo all the classics seem to get these days (what the hell was wrong with the original Star Wars George?). Anywho if you loved this show in your younger days like I did you really can't go wrong here. Each edition of the set in quite large in size, encompassing many hours of viewing. Also the volumes can be found at tremendous prices through varying resources. If you're paying over $15 a volume then you aren't doing your homework. So yeah for about $60 to $70 you can own all four volumes, not bad for hours and hours of true animated storytelling that you can bring out and pass on to ... Luaghed my XXX off. I am an editor by profession. And I loved how it was put together. I have always been a fan of Rocky Bullwinkle show. But did not really get an opportunity to watch or recall all the episodes in my youth. Thanks to this dvd set. I now know how the characters full story and can appreciate the series even more. I hesitated ordering the other seasons unitl I reviewed the first season. I now cant wait to get the other seasons and complete the set. This will be the first cartoon collection I have ever purchased. So it had alot to live up to. And I must say I not only met but it surpassed my expectations. Which says alot for the creators of this dvd set. Since I have extensive experience in the field of production. I must also mention to anyone who is thinking about ... Luaghed my XXX off. Review for Rocky & Bullwinkle First Season Shows
I especially liked the FRACTURED FAIRY TALES. I thought about trying to buy a copy of just those. Then I purchased a used copy of them from another source. I saw online that someone could purchase a whole individual season of the cartoon series. This was expensive to purchase new, so I checked on Ebay and found this used copy. I have several grandchildren whom I babysit from time to time, and I find that the modern cartoons are not even funny. The children can sit through a cartoon and not laugh. Some cartoons are gross and rude like Sponge Bob, who uses bathroom humor, and talks about panty raids in front of 7-year-olds!? Then, I remembered that I liked Rocky & Bullwinkle and knew they were funny! I also found some "best-of" copies of the cartoon series at a local Close-out store ... Jump in the Way-Back machine Sherman, this set will take you back in time. Pleasant break from the new toons. This set is for those that like their toons old school. This cartoon isn't a japanese anime remake butcher job of your favorite toons, it's the original, the way you remember it to be. This season is the first of three seasons. The characters look a little rough in the first episodes, which is my ONLY complaint. Actually, I have two complaints, they should have made MORE episodes. Three seasons is not enough.
