I enjoyed watching this series on cbs back in the day and now watching it again on dvd I find that I still enjoy the characters interactions and the many different types of stories they were able to tell.the mix of action adventure and the court room leave many entertaining stories that were often set up to mirror events taking place at the time.David James Elliott and Catherine Bell were very engaging along with the other regular cast members made up a family of players that were always fun to watch.I enjoyed watching this series on cbs back in the day and now watching it again on dvd I find that I still enjoy the characters interactions and the many different types of stories they were able to tell.the mix of action adventure and the court room leave many entertaining stories that were often set up to mirror events taking place at the time.David James Elliott and Catherine Bell were very engaging along with the other regular cast members made up a family of players that were always fun to watch.

Combat Aviator Does Perry Mason
Very good, military action, TV series. It's the Navy version of Perry Mason. The hero is a combat aviator, legal eagle and his sidekick is a real babe. There's some 1990s feminism thrown in to annoy us men but besides that it's first rate. This series is designed to appeal to men and women alike. It does that pretty well. By the way, I ordered this series for my wife but I watch it too.

Jag is always entertaining
I used to watch Jag sporadically when it was on television. Always enjoyed it. I missed many episodes because each episode is self-contained and that is one of its strengths. Unlike soap operas that leave you needing more, each Jag episode satisfies in itself. The production values and writing of each story is consistently high. David Elliott is an asset ... Catherine Bell has her high moments but is overrated as an actress. There's nothing that I can recall that stirs one to higher motives on the small screen and it's a credit that this 'fairy floss' show does it so well. TV viewing nowadays offers so much junk in the form of reality shows ... in Australia that means having to watch illiterate 20 year olds trying to lose too much Macca's fat or singing ... I used to watch Jag sporadically when it was on television. Always enjoyed it. I missed many episodes because each episode is self-contained and that is one of its strengths. Sometimes, a continuing series loses it's luster and ambience after a couple of years. Not JAG! A mixture of Military life, courtroom drama, current events, human emotions, compassion, a little humor (now and then), and adherence to rules of conduct has my devotion to this program. The ethics of living is continuously the driving force in the plots allowing some 'bending' for common sense and 'no-win' situations. Jag could have gone on far past it's 10 seasons, but it shut down rather than tarnish it's impeccable legacy. I highly recommend JAG as a show for those who still believe in the 'good old day' values of life!
