I was able to get this for my son. He loves it I’m so thankful that he was able to find this. And the fact that it had went to my old address, the seller was so kind to resend to the correct address and my son couldn’t be any happier.

      Wow is the correct response

I am very pleasantly surprised at how good this pedal sounds. The organ sounds are prominent and unmistakable. Excellent tracking. I'm not sure how many voices can sound at the same time (aka polyphony), but it is definitely in the ballpark of organ chord sounds. There was a learning curve for me. I re-looked at the demos on youTube and made some notes on knob positions. Also, it was a little bit of a struggle using it with my high gain amplifier. Even with modest gain on the amp, the C9 would overdrive my amp when the volume (Organ knob) was too high. A cleaner amp wouldn't have this issue, most likely. All of these issues I mention are very minor, and I'll probably keep this pedal forever. Definitely 5 stars.

C9 is a one trick pony

PROS: It is sturdy, easy to use, provides an accompanying organ to your guitar playing. CONS: It has 9 settings, and they all sound basically alike. It is a one trick pony. And some of the settings, while basically the same, sound thin/fake. A bit pricey in my opinion. There are two or three of the nine that are useful enough.

    • Better than I imagined.

If you can't justify a full-time keyboard player or just plain don't want one but need a keyboard every once in a while this is the box for you. I've been looking for an organ "emulator" for several years but until the C9 (the B9 didn't have what I was looking for) came around about the only thing available was a very expensive synthesizer system that attaches directly to an electric guitar. Even with the expense it would've meant, in addition to my acoustic guitars and an ukulele, I'd have more gear to cart around. Then I found the C9 and an "I need money" deal on eBay and took it. I use the C9 for a couple of Marley songs my band performs and can foresee a lot more fun in the future. I've tried the C9 on electric and acoustic guitars and a solid body electric ukulele and it works ...

    • Great sound effects box...

Electro Harmonix is a name brand that has a reputation of producing state of the art products. This effects box is truly very versatile in that it produces wide range of sounds which mimic that of a keyboard. The setting that I personally enjoy is that of Jon Lord - of Deep Purple which is the Leslie organ with its oscillating tune. I would definitely recommend this effects box to any guitarist whose seeking to expand their musical horizons

    • Electro Harmonix C9 modulation Guitar Effect Pedal

This C9 effect is a pretty handy little gadget. It works best for me adding some organ sounds underneath our piano player. It is very easy to use and sounds pretty good. It has 9 settings but they are all pretty similar except for #9. It could use a second stomp switch to on/off the modulation for the leslie effect in live performance use. Very sturdy construction too. An extra and inexpensive tool for the working guitarist.
