Product Information

After landing on the beaches of Normandy, soldiers spread out to liberate Europe from the Nazi regime. In Call of Duty 3, single-players focus on the stories of four Allied soldiers that begin at Operation Cobra and leads to the eventual Liberation of Paris. Gameroom generals will lead the group through 14 missions filled with multiple attack routes as a member of either the American, British, Polish, and Canadian armies. Soldiers come equipped with special skills such as the British SAS soldier's knack for sabotage, and the Canadian mechanized infantry's expertise at inventive vehicles. <br><br>Internet action is available for up to 24 people in a single or split-screen game, or offline with up to four friends. Players pick from five different classes of character such as medic and anti-armor, and then customize gameplay options. Several game types include "Team Battle," "Capture the Flag," "War," "Headquarters," and a single flag "CTF" that can be played out on many different maps. Online achievements are given for accomplishments similar to getting the first kill in a multiplayer match, or being in the top percentage of scores for ranked games. Environments include deformable objects such as piles of wood that move and splinter when shot, and players may destroy soft cover to flush enemies out in the open. Additional "Battle Action" invites gamers to shoot less and get their hands dirty setting C-4 charges, and fighting Germans with their bare hands.

    Good game, but doesn't stand out.

    This is definately a great game, but if you've palyed WW2 games before you're not missing much. there are some features about the game I do enjoy, like riding vehicles (tanks, jeeps and motorcycles), and the levels. One thing I don't like is the appearance of the 4 player split screen. Alot of people rarely ever use this option because you can simply play online with friends from each other's own houses, but I like getting the guys over, order some food and shoot some people up. The problem with this feature is the positioning on the compass and the text on the left side of the each screen of the 1st and 3rd players. For some reason the text appears right in the center of the screen making it hard to see what's in front of you. The text I'm referring to is the text that appears when a ...

    With Call of Duty, Activision stole the WWII fps shooter medal away from Medal of honor. And they returned with an even better Call of Duty 3. This "Gold" edition offers nothing extra in the way of gameplay, but does come with a dvd. The dvd includes a making of featurette and a little history lessona bout WWII, among other things. Good: Great music (but not on par with Medal of Honor). Superb Graphics. Good Controls. The ability to fight for four different countries this time around. Almost no learning curve if you've played an Xbox FPS before. a nice collection of dvd extra's. The Bad: Tank commanding controls are not very good or easy to use. Not as long as I'd like but still decent. The Ugly: How long must I wait for Call of Duty 4?! Nothing about this game is ugly! All in all, a ...

    Call of Duty 3 - Gold Edition

    I love that it is the gold edition because it comes with additional features. Like five x-box multi-player maps. It also comes with an additional dvd that has the making of the game and special interviews. It is also rated T and the ones that come after it are rated M.

    Call of Duty 3: Gold Edition

    Call of Duty 3 is a first person shooter that is part of series that still continues. Another sequel has been produced due to the success of the previous Call of Duty games. Call of Duty 3 is that of a WWII setting that follows a story based on that theme. Online game play is also available increasing the replay value even more. I would recommend this game to anyone who meets the age requirements.

    It a fun first person shooter game, and is a great multiplay online game as well. This game has 3 different challenge levels so you can learn to play at the easy level right away and then move on to more challenging games after learning the basics
