For my use of it outdoors, there are some considerations: it is not windproof (no bad thing); and there is no cuff, hem or hood adjustment. I wore this for a hike in freezing temperatures with a bag, and it performed very well. The shoulders stood up to wear, the two zip pullers gave venting options, and despite sweating in to my backpack, I started warm and comfortable. Ask about sizing, I sized up for sleeve length.
