        From The Early Days of Television...........

        My childhood memories had this TV Series at "5 Stars"...............and for the period, I expect that it was very popular. It's certainly enjoyable and it's an education to see just how much TV production has evolved in the past 60+ years. John Russell and Chick Chandler both have long TV and Movie resumes and this TV Series reflects that talent. If you are a fan of 1950's TV.....Adventure.......I do think that you will enjoy this 5-DVD Set offering.

        An engaging adventure series with likable characters.

        I remember this series from my childhood, when I watched it with my father. Later, it subtly introduced my writing. The quality of the image, black and white from the Fifties, is not as bad as I had feared. I particularly like the fact that the sidekick is not a coward or an idiot, but a competent adventurer in his own right.

        Haven't seen it since it was on TV? Kid! Much better than I was anticipating? Well structured, well acted and you'll see everyone at the beginning of their careers! Cool!

        Soldiers of fortune

        The dvd is great !! Watched this series with my grandfather when I was seven years old. Thought this series was forgotten. They did a great job cleaning up the picture and sound ! I just wish the series would have lasted longer. Its great even today !!

        I had never seen this series before; John Russell and Chick Chandler (former vaudelian!) were excellent and worked well togther.

        I enjoyed this series a lot in spite of the scenes taken from other sources and used - some of the wild animal scenes were obviously from another source but this did not detract from the series considering it was filmed in the 1950s.
