The flex that I believe is responsible for backlight was significantly thinner making it difficult to install. After a few tries I got it working fine. Still a good screen. Might have been a 1 in a million because I believe it was supposed to have a tab on the flex that adds rigidity to it.

Item arrived as described. I'm a bit of an amateur repairing an old 3DS XL, so sadly replacing the motherboard in my old unit didn't appear to work. THAT IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE SELLER. Item arrived, packaged well enough, without any apparent damage in shipping. I would've preferred ESD packaging just to be sure of no inherent damage in shipping, but alas I can understand not having materials like that readily available. Shipping was EXTREMELY prompt and OBO was very reasonable.
