Product Information

So much mayhem ensues that it takes two Elvises to handle it! In his only dual role, Presley is both of the titular cousins: a redneck moonshiner, and an emissary sent by the Army to convince the hillbillies on Tatum Mountain to allow the government to use half their land as a missile launch site. The locals' antipathy for Uncle Sam provides a convenient opportunity for a fistfight between the dueling Elvises.

    Army Officer meets Country Hicks and they're related.

    Very entertaining. Elvis at one of his best. The plot was funny about Elvis playing a dual role as an army officer and a hick country boy cousin with a similar habit of chasing women. The music was upbeat and engaging. I enjoyed watching it again after not having seen it in many years at the theater.

    Good movie

    think this is a good movie, it does what it is suppose to do make you chuckle and listen to Elvis sing. The cast is totally into the "backwoods characters" they play. Elvis himself (in a dual role) gives a great performance as the backwoods cousin Jody, a Jethro type character but a little sexier and a little smarter. The Air Force pilot cousin Josh is more like the typical Elvis role. Arthur O'Connell is great as Papa Tatem. Jack Albertson(from Chico and the Man fame)was also good as Capt. Salvo. The production was low budget and made in about 14 days. Elvis hated the blond wig. The idea here is fun. Nothing serious just 60's fun.

    Loved it

    A little cheesy but That's ok. Bought it because it stars Yvonne Craig. One of my favorite actresses. Seeing Elvis in all his glory just added to it being a fun movie.
