    New life in an old laptop

    I installed this CPU in my 20 year old Compaq Presario 1255. Because the FSB only runs at 60MHz the laptop runs @ 360MHz. I've maxed out the memory at 288MB, and it's running with Windows XP SP3. Thank you for selling these parts for the old computers still. A lot of these things are hard to find.

    Worked great! Great example of an AMD k6-2-400

    Have it running in a 66 mhz FSB motherboard @ 400mhz. Used this to upgrade the Cyrix MII 266 I have in my retro DOS gaming machine! Would buy from again!

    Good processor, for old systems.

    I bought it to upgrade my vintage pentium-1 system. Good processor for old Socket7 systems, top processor for my motherboard. Easy way to upgrade your old PC. Well it quiet fast, enough for old games and light internet surf.
