"Re-circulated" Merchandise
I used the term "re-circulated" vs "used" because the merchandise was in excellent condition for a 16 year old music CD. My 14 year old kid watch the Wayne's World DVD and now has new following with her friends. (Note 1992 movie- 1994 kid born) So we decided to see who on eBay!!! had the soundtrack for sell. Truly affordable and hopefully will entertain a new-younger generation as well as us (ahem-ahem) older parents who use to have the same wardrobe as Wayne --some how the kids still don't picture Dad with long hair LOL.I used the term "re-circulated" vs "used" because the merchandise was in excellent condition for a 16 year old music CD. Musical Blitz
I'm an overall music fan with a fairly large collection of movie soundtracks. Their purpose for me is to relive the emotions I felt watching ("Demon Knight," "Sweeney Todd," "Full Metal Jacket," & "Idle Hands" are 4 excellent examples). This one stands among them, causing me to relive a movie I had not watched in years. It was brilliantly driven by the music, even more than the SNL skits. For this CD, it was a sheer stroke of genius to begin with "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. Who doesn't know that resplendent sequence? It's eponymous to the film and darn near to the early nineties themselves. I have Queen's Greatest Hits CD but do not mourn the duplication. The same goes for Cinderella's "Hot And Bothered" because I had to have their 'best of' collection, too. Ironically, I can't ... Guess I do need to watch it again. "Rock Candy" by Bulletboys made me remember their arena rock days when they toured with Bon Jovi. Not a particularly stand-out tune, it is equally another I can't place in the flick. Oh well, it's not bad, at any rate. "Dream Weaver" by Gary Wright was long overdue in its inclusion into my collection. This being the man's most notable contribution to the airwaves, I was glad to read that he did go on to produce 9 more LPs, all still in print. It's undoubtedly the toughest of businesses. I am a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers, for certain, and was glad to add "Sikamikanico" to their contributions on my iPod. It's among the best tracks on this disc. Black Sabbath's "Time Machine" is every bit as hard driving as one could wish. Ronnie James Dio really belts it out. The "Wayne's World Theme" with Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey did not need to come in an extended version. It needed to be on the release but it does get old. I adore Tia Carrere's version of "Ballroom Blitz." It showcases her sweet pipes very nicely. "Foxy Lady" is Jimi Hendrix at his finest in my mind. Classic. I did not previously own "Feed My Frankenstein" as Alice Cooper's album "Killer" is my sole purchased to date from the artist. I'm ashamed of my oversight. Rhino Bucket rocks with "Ride With Yourself" and I had not heard them to my knowledge until this acquisition. The music industry is extremely incestuous (metaphorically speaking) and I found it amusing that the original lead guitarist had to be replaced upon the band's 2001 reformation. Greg Fields had moved on to success in production and engineering for a personal favorite, Marilyn Manson, among others. "Loving Your Lovin'" showcases Eric Clapton's distinctive voice and playing. More of a fan of Cream's psychedelic rock than his more typical bluesy sound, I am not a huge fan but do admire his longevity. It says a lot about his musical dedication. Lastly, Tia Carrere comes on sweet with "Why You Wanna Break My Heart." One source indicated that it is a cover version but I'm not certain. If it is, she owns it with her rendition. If you liked the movie, definitely buy the soundtrack. It's positively going on my random iPod shuffle rotation.

I Love This Soundtrack!!
This is by far the best $3 I have ever spent! This CD is the only thing that has the version of "Ballroom Blitz" that is sung by Tia Carrere. I could not find it anywhere else. The rest of the music is a great compilation and I would recommend this if you are feeling like an early 90's music type of mood.

I really like thsi sound track, not only because Wayne's World was an awesome movie, but because of the music that it had. Some of these songs, although they were amazing, were quite difficult in locating. The song Ballroom blitz and Why you wanna break my heart, which are sung by Tia carrere for the ablum were especially difficult in locating.
