    Long lasting

    I have nothing to compare it to as this was my first pool pump to replace. My pool was completed October 2011 and the cleaner pump just started leaking the end of July 2020. I asked about replacing parts but I figured by the time I disconnected it, brought it in for service (my pool would be down), and paid for parts and labor, I was better off paying for a new one, considering it was approaching 9yo. It was a quick changeout, however there wasn’t enough length of hose to replace the existing ones. They seem to be in working condition, so I left the old ones in place.

    poor packaging

    no for quality due to poor packaging. came in with slight damage. box was NOT damaged. first pentair did not want anything to do with the issue. finally found someone there to look at pictures. they said it must have shifted in the box. they still did not accept any responsibility. well, question is "who is responsible for packing properly so item does not shift?" logically - pentair.

    Direct fit/replacement of an existing unit

    The design has not changed so it was an easy install in place of a worn out existing unit. The hoses, clamps, wiring, and mounting are all identical. Reasonable price too vs trying to rebuild the old unit.

    Drop in replacement pump, good value.

    This was a direct replacement for the original pump, so both electrical and plumbing connections required no modification. The motor was noisy on startup, but became quiet very quickly. You can barely hear it run.
