The shipping was very fast, my package arrived 2 days earlier than expected. The box it came in was in great condition, and I received exactly what I was expecting (Derwent inktense watercolor palette). The only issue I had with this experience was that the water brush it came with had no cap. I am fine with that, I took a cap from a different brush. The paints work like they're supposed to, you can work with them while wet, but they're permanent after drying. It's great for underpainting.

    Perfect for travel

    brand new package. quick receipt. Gave it to my artist granddaughter for early birthday. She travels quite a bit for competitions and loves water color. The kit comes with a water color brush that fills with water and then can simply be wiped with a paper towel before switching to another color. This is perfect for travel and fits into her backpack or purse.

    A fun unique product to try.

    A unique watercolor product. It works like a watercolor paint. It can go on opaque or be diluted with water to lighten the colors. It also behaves like ink, and once it is on paper, the colors are permanent. The price is reasonable. It comes in a nice small case that is perfect for travel. A fine point water brush is included. I recommend using water brushes or inexpensive synthetic brushes as the paint stains.

    A good choice for plein aire sketching and ink drawing washes.

    The paints seem to have a great deal of pigment. The color range is not what I would have chosen but it's OK for a plein air paint kit. The water brush was an unexpected tool which seems to work well. However, it does not fit the case.

    Use like Watercolor

    I use it like Watercolor but it's permanent when dry & I draw over top with colored pencil, pen or other media. I used watercolor & WC pencil over it later. Colors are pretty deep/saturated, or I can water down for lighter tint (just like watercolor).

    Great, pigmented watercolors!

    The paints are great! Very pigmented, paint smoothly. The little water brush that's included is nice. Also, these watercolor paints are resistant to water and lifting once dry, I got them purposefully for this to paint postcards.
