    Great, user friendly tool for the price!

    This is a great product because it will handle 95% of what a casual chainsaw user will need it for. Not as strong and with a little more vibration than a larger gas powered stihl I've become accustomed to, but it is so much easier to maintain and is was more user friendly. It doesn't feel like its going to break, but I wonder how long it will last when I really start beating it up this fall.

    Thirsty Sucker

    Quiet reliable operation on a chain saw is a a revelation. The only negative I see is it/s voracious apppetite for chain oil. Dewalt needs to address this soon as other manufacturers have already come out with competitive products and I see no reason why any battery powered chain saw should be this thirsty for oil. I've used other conventionally powered brands that never had this issue.

    Very impressed

    I was a little skeptical being a battery powered chainsaw, as I have several gas powered ones. But I was very impressed on the power, great ease-of-use, and the longevity of the battery. I took down several trees with it and bucked them up. It cut through even the thickest part, easily 14 inches, with ease.

    What took them so long?

    Once you use this chainsaw, you'll never go back to a gas model. Plenty of power, quiet and safe. I no longer have to keep it idling between cuts, hoping it stays running. After sixty cuts, it has to go back on the charger, giving me an excuse to sit down and have a pop. Perfect!
