Very good but not 100% translucent
It says 'translucent' which is what I was looking for, however it does give your skin a light tone. So it makes my skin look a little bit more fair than I would like to, hence I gave it one star less. Otherwise it's great. It mattifies the skin well (mine is on the oily side) and stays there throughout the day. I would just love it it was truly translucent and did not make me look even fairer. It also has that smell of talc which reminds me of my grandma cosmetics back in the days;) but to be fair it does say 'the original formula' so there you have it :)It says 'translucent' which is what I was looking for, however it does give your skin a light tone. Amazing powder that will last for ages and suits even sensitive skin
I decided to try this powder after reading many reviews of it but since I cannot buy it in Ireland I bought it on eBay instead. For the price the amount of powder you get is extremely good value. It is a very fine light and airy powder that does not cake once on and I have not found it drying either. I have combination skin that is sensitive, especially on my cheeks, and it did not aggravate my skin or cause any breakouts. While it does not provide much coverage, it serves as a veil of oil absorption and can brighten the skin. I find it much better than a lot of other powders I have bought including MAC, Bare Minerals, and Clinique. There is only one thing I dislike and that is the packaging. While it looks lovely from the outside, on the inside there is a film of plastic that does not ... A minor flaw but kind of annoying because punching holes that are too big causes the tub to become somewhat messy and the fine nature of the powder means that it may cause a coughing fit, the powder sits in the air instead of just falling. Even so, this is not a bad enough problem to warrant a decrease in the star rating. Overall I would recommend anyone to try it if they are looking for a powder that does not dry the skin, is not obvious once applied, absorbs oil, and is extremely good value.

Beautiful Clear Skin, Little Effort, 1 Timeless Product
My Grandmother had used this poweder since the 1930's. I was a big Mary Kay fan. I stopped using base make-up all together, I felt it seemed to gather in my lines and pours. I remember how beautiful my Grandmother complextion was, between Noxima and Coty Face Powder. I have been using Coty for about 8 years and LOVE it but trying to find it has become difficult. You're not in Wal-Mart I can't find you anywhere here in the West. You NEED to Be Accessable. You are better than any Mineral based powder. All you need is more exposure. Bring out the faces of the 90 year old women that have been using you, if you had my Grandmother, you would have won over millions of women. What is not to like, have you ever had the same fragrance in your life so many years you cannot remember not having it? THis describes this Coty face powder. It was a discontinued item. My 90 year old mother has worn it for years upon years. That little box has set on the bath counter forever, new box after new box. Then it was no where to be found in 3 cities where we shop regularly. When I visited Mom this fall in her Assisted Living apartment, she handed me this little round empty box and asked if one more time could I try to find it? I was so frustrated becuse it ment trip after to trip to many stores. Then as I drove home it dawned on me, go online. I first went to Coty cosmetics, and found e-bay link for discontinued items. The best part is that I have the empty box to set on my bath counter to look at pick up and smell whenever, it is like Mom is going to be with me as long as I have that smell. Thanks e-bay, for answering one small but very significnt prayer. My mother's life has changed dramatically the last 6 months and she hangs on to as many old habits and items as long as she can. This was one of those things.

I bought this item purely for sentimental reasons. The scent of this powder IS my mother. She used Airspun powder for as long as I can remember. The smell of it reminds me so much of her, when I close my eyes it's like she's right here in the room with me. I have always loved the smell and soft texture. I would definitely buy this product again, and plan to if the need ever arises. Even if it didn't remind me of my mom, I'd still buy it. It's a great powder, and can be used in place of foundation - it's clean, smells wonderful, and covers very well - evening out skin tone, all without clogging the pores of the skin.
