About this product

Product Information

Fight Night: Round 3 makes its Xbox 360 debut with a new graphics engine that allows players to gauge their rival's health and energy simply by watching his dynamic facial expressions and body cues. The analog punch system from the 2005 version has returned with new punch types, each of which can shift a fight's momentum if landed correctly. The haymaker punch is now harder to connect, but it is also more powerful. The new flash KO punch can overpower a boxer in one hit, putting him in the dangerous position of being knocked out, while the stun punch switches the default third-person view to a first-person perspective as players attempt to finish off their stunned opponent with a devastating blow. While these impact punches can change the course of a fight within a few seconds, they are considered high-risk swings that can leave a boxer vulnerable to counter moves.

The career mode from the series has undergone a few changes to offer a more personal approach to a boxer's legacy. Rivalries will now be created from key match-ups, flamboyant claims at press conferences, and clashes during weigh-ins, allowing players to square off against their heated rivals in multiple rematches for fame, money, and respect. Players are also free to re-create some of the sport's greatest bouts with the included roster of legends from different eras and weight classes, whether it's Ali versus Frasier, Leonard versus Hagler, or Gatti versus Ward. As an added bonus, the game features ESPN Classic footage of the real-life fights that helped shape the sport. All of the featured play modes from 2005's game have made the transition to Round 3, although the create boxer option now lets players choose from multiple styles in footwork, punching, and blocking for greater customization. Online support is also included for head-to-head matches against players from around the world.

Game was priced great and arrived in advertised condition. Seller included a folded paper towel pressed against the disc and case to ensure it wouldn’t pop out during travel. Little attention to details like this are greatly appreciated. A++ great vendor

    I love this game!

I highly recommend this boxing game. You really can’t go wrong with the price. I used to have this game years ago, but I leant it to a friend and never got it back. I decided to rebuy it, and I’m glad I did. My only complaint is that I feel like when I had it years ago I had more options when creating a boxer. But the game is super fun and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

    Its Just EA Sports

Ok, I've had all the fight nights and after deciding I hated 4 and Champion primarily because they stink. ( For me the no push buttons and poor fight controls and stupidly hard training in 4 and the fantastically stupidly hard training in Champion as well as opponents with ESP who know exactly when you're going for the body etc etc etc.) I decided I'd go back to my favorite. FN 3. And sure enough they had it for the 360. So far so good. Now don't get me wrong, FN 3 had harebrained drawbacks only EA could manage; in career mode no real rankings, a bizarre rival system where just about every belt fight you face one of your rivals, an absolutely set pattern to your career etc etc etc. But the feel of the fight controls and the fighting itself I always felt was as close to real boxing ( I ...

  • Graphics Cool, Gameplay Great, but nowhere near perfect

A common theme with a next-gen system is that the Graphics are the best I've seen on any system ever for a boxing game, even compared to a PC. The controls are also one of the best, making use of both Analog sticks. The Total Control Punch system is just revolutionary for boxing games. Fight Night Round 3 has a pretty good career mode. You can make your own boxer and progress him towards the ranks of becoming a champion. Heavyweight, Middleweight, Lightweight, Flyweight, you name it. The progression is a little repetitive, and the challenge quite similar (training, fighting, etc). Remembering an old Boxing Classic - Mike Tyson's Punchout on the SNES, FNR3 is not about finding the weakness of a boxer, but more about reacting and counterpunching, but as you progress the ranks, you ...

  • Knocked Out

Electronic Arts presents the third edition of their Fight Night series. This time, it's back with better graphics and more balanced gameplay. There is no doubt that this is one of the best games EA has put out in their market as far as visuals. Gameplay: 8 The game has more realism to the game as far as facial physics and facial movement. As I recall in Fight Night Round 2, Muhammad Ali was just any other regular boxer. In Round 3 he actually tip toes around the ring and has amazingly powerful jabs. So already seeing that difference shows that EA put some effort into adding some more realism and authenticity to the game. Round 3 provides a career mode. It is very limited to what you can actually do, you can't really choose ring entrances, take on sponsors, or buy some extra cool items ...

  • The Next Generation Wakes Up

Fight Night Round 3 on the XBOX 360 is easily the best sports game I have ever played. Coming from a guy who's never really grasped the appeal annually-updated athletic releases, that's saying something. What makes me take notice? It's more than accessible controls, strategy that any would-be pugilist intuitively understands, and lighting effects that make graphics snobs coo like amused infants. It's the little things; watching Ali snap jabs into my Frazier's face, sweat and blood specks popping into the air, I almost forget that this is a game as I frantically bring up my defense with the hopes of setting up my next devastating hook to the body. Unprecedented character detail and fully-rendered crowds lend this game realism unmatched by any other on the market. This is the game that ...
