It looks great, and is easy to keep clean.
It looks great, and is easy to keep clean. I replaced the zip-tie on the wire hanger with brass wire, that allows the handle to bend flat, so it can rest upside down for filling.

The hummingbird feeder looks great the top of the base is metal but the bottom is plastic. Being in Arizona it seems the plastic may not hold up, based on past experience. Not a bad value for the price paid. But I prefer one that has an all metal base. The rest of the hummingbird feeder the rest of the hummingbird feeder seems like it would hold up a long time

From personal experience. Beautiful Item.
From my own personal experience if using this item, I can say that the quality is top notch. It is very sanitary, the glass is not only easily cleaned, but has a gorgeous vintage-like look that is very attractive. I never use red nectar. I make my own, with no dye, none is needed since the tiny red flower accents are enough to attract. However on my shepherds hook I've tied a couple of red flowy ribbons which attract even more birds. 4 parts purified water to 1 part sugar I use. I have hummers visit all day long. I live upstairs and my balcony is the perfect spot. I highly recommend. The glass keeps your nectar fresher and for longer. I recommend this over plastic any day. No leaching. Pretty, but has a slight problem.
Even though it's really nice looking, it doesn't attract the hummingbirds as well as the less expensive plastic feeder one that I have. It also has a problem with allowing the nectar to vent into the reservoir as the hummingbirds use it. As the reservoir empties, the nectar doesn't adequately refill due to air getting trapped between the reservoir and the glass opening. So I think if I place a piece of wire inside the feeder like the cheaper plastic one I have has, that should take care of the problem by allowing the air to escape from the reservoir into the glass bottle thus allowing the reservoir to refill itself. A very simple fix. I will admit that it IS beautiful and holds an ample amount of nectar. Even though it's really nice looking, it doesn't attract the hummingbirds as well as the less expensive plastic feeder one that I have.
