    Dirty Fingers

    I have bought these strings off and on over the last 40 years. Yes, they last and sound great. The problem is that they are nickel coated, and so your fretting fingers quickly turn black from playing these strings. Granted, it washes of easily with a little pumice or after some serious hand washing with regular soap, but for me I'm done with always having to wash the nickel off my fingers.
