Product Information

Airborne Troops: Countdown to D-Day is a third-person shooter with an emphasis on stealth action and commando-style tactics. Players take the role of lone soldier, behind enemy lines in occupied France during World War II. The game's missions are intended to re-create actual events that took place on or around the June 6, 1944, D-day invasion. About half of the missions are defensive, calling on the hero to use stealth to avoid capture; the other half offer more traditional shooter gameplay, as the hero goes on the offensive. All locations, uniforms, weapons, equipment, and medals are designed to be historically accurate.

    A good addition to your PS2 (infantry) war games

    If you like infantry play alone , without the usual array of controllable vehicles , you will like this game. Surprisingly the storyline is a little dated , as are the graphics & AI : even though it has authentic gameplay action. Since this is a single player game (with no ability for online play) , with 2nd rate (but adequate) graphics , I have to give this game 7+ out of 10 as a rating. Due to the fact that some games are disappointing in the PS2 realm , I can say that it is worth playing by comparison to other similar FPS war games. There is a certain amount of noticable AI "unintelligence". Overall , the game is quite interesting , in that you simply can't just blast your way through it with stealthy weaponry & cunning abilities. The game requires you to pay close attention to ...

    Ok - memory card problems

    For some reason, the game would not recognize the memory card. So I bought a brand new memory card, other game use that card, but again this game would not, so now I have to play the game for awhile just to get back to the point where I left off.

    Great Game/PS2 Sniper Elite

    I Like everything about this game. One of the best games I ever played. The graphics are the greatest. I have played most of the Call of Duty games, but I must say this game will keep me guessing on what to expect on the next mission.
