    Short stories about a long trip across the US with a dog.

    With Steinbeck's reputation, and other books written earlier, I had expected more. It is a nice collection of short stories, but, with some exceptions, not outstanding.

    Stunning

    Not truly a travel log. But almost a 1960's Chrystal ball into a USA whose problems remain. His comments on Khrushchev, Texas, and the racial south hit the mark. The future of mobile homes not si much.
